July 26, 1971, Apollo 15 launched from Cape Canaveral. The mission was the first of the Apollo J missions which stayed on the moon for longer periods of time and had greater surface mobility. This was due in part to the creation of the Lunar Roving Vehicle, better known as the moon buggy.[2400x3000]
